My Comment On Rich Schefren's Blog

Hi Rich,

I must thank you again for delivering such a valuable report - better than a lot of books. I can imagine what your coaching must be like and hope that I will be able to have you as a coach someday soon.

I can see that I can improve on all of the constraints described, but it all really boils down to the following:

1) Main Constraint responsible for all past failures:

My main constraint is numero uno: a fear of failure and not being confident about the goals that I set, based on low self-esteem (to be honest).

I have not had definite positive plans for the future that I have consistently worked towards. I have procrastinated because I did not fully believe I was capable of achieving those goals. I realized that I needed to break the big goals down into smaller ones so that I would not be intimidated by them.

The symptom of a lack of money is the result of failure to take action and fail as fast as possible. Not learning from past mistakes and repeating the same mistakes over again is another symptom.

2) How Many Constraints Away Am I From Having The Business and The Life of My Dreams?

I feel I am four constraints away from the business and life of my dreams.

However, overcoming just two constraints would be a fantastic improvement in my life and would allow for the major, positive changes described in point 3).

Besides constraint #1 - (which I had already started to take action on a while back) the other constraints I believe will release massive energy are the following:

Constraint #2: “Flying Blind”: I think I can identify this in all areas of my life, so it must be very important: the symptom is false assumptions about people and social situations, but also about who my customer is and what they want.

To quantify this in time, I believe I would have achieved every single goal I had for this year already had I overcome this one constraint.

Constraint #4: Time. The cause of this is a lack of self-discipline and lack of boundaries on the amount of time I allow for email & social networking, which leads me back to #1 again. I think I am procrastinating when I spend too much time on things like this.

Another symptom is using my children as a crutch; my excuse for failure.

Constraint #5 The lack of a personal network. One of my main problems/obstacles/symptoms is social isolation, and a lack of a personal network is the reason behind this. A strong personal network is important in all areas of life. This doesn’t mean I have to live in a certain place.

3) The three greatest benefits I will enjoy once those constraints are removed:
I believe just removing one constraint will release enormous energy. Releasing all four constraints would allow me to:

1. Become debt-free and have a chunk of money saved.
2. Buy a house again, preferably in the States. New home, new life!
3. Take a vacation with the kids to Asia: (Japan, Taiwan, Korea)

Pre-Release Book Review: The Twitter Handbook

I've been on Twitter for a while now - almost a year. I started out as @EbizMom and then changed my name to @AngelWickenberg so that I wouldn't have to go over from a "handel" to my name in establishing relationships. But it was not until one of my mentors invited us to join him on Facebook and be his friend that I started to actually post more regularly on Twitter.

When I first started to post, I gave links to blogposts that I wrote on my marketing blog at http://e-bizsecretsexposed.com/blog.

I didn't understand the reason why we should follow people if we don't have time to read their messages and respond to them, let alone the reason for following many people. Since then, I have learned through trial and error how to post and the logic or illogic behind Twitter, but also the social importance of being on Twitter.

Two of my new friends on Twitter, however, Deborah Micek and Warren Whitlock, have written a new book, really the first book, on the "how to" of Twitter, which I have written a review of on my social media blog.

If you're on Twitter, I'd love to connect with you there: Follow me at http://Twitter.com/AngelWickenberg

A Challenge To Myself

I just can't BELIEVE I'm doing this! I am actually writing a blog and telling the world that I'm going to earn $30,000 in 30 days! In a whim, I purchased a DVD a couple of months ago before it was even ready, and it just arrived. I'm the kind of person that has a whole library of Internet marketing courses collecting dust! So when I heard about this course, I jumped at the chance to get it. Making that kind of money would be wonderful, at the same time, I'm thinking that I probably can't do it; that I don't really have what it takes. I can't tell you how much I've spent on Internet marketing in the last 1.5 years! And all the mistakes I've made in the last five! And I haven't made a dime! Time to make something and to start doing something, so why not now?

I purchased the resell rights to the video sometime in May. Now it's August and I just received the DVD and watched it last night, and I AM ALL FIRED UP!! I can do this! The guys in the video came up with a great plan, and it's not about selling the DVD itself, (even though I'm going to do that, too. Here's the link: http://www.netofficetoolbox.com/app/?af=445202). So I decided to create this blog and to record what I have done and how it goes. This is something your kids could do!

But what made me take the step to creating this blog and trying to figure out all this adsense and adword stuff in the middle of the night? Well, I'm a single mom with three kids at home and one at the university, and heck, I sure can use the money! I'm pretty tired of being broke, too!

But I won't reveal the fantastic idea that I have before I actually do it. I'll get back to you very shortly with the low-down. Hey, I may even have a product of my own when this is all done and over with! I may even have a new business! Wish me luck!
